another fresh cut has surfaced from J. Cole’s forthcoming, tentatively titled, Cole World release. it’s fire. and while it may not be the final mix heard on the album, it’s pretty damn good either way. trax gots BEATS!! his debut album is expected October 16 via Roc Nation…
UK’s Friendly Fires have mixed the next Suck My Deck compilation expected September 27 via team Bugged Out. “Stay Here” will be featured on the compilation, and it showcases a collaboration with Friendly Fires and Canadian house collective Azari and III. here’s a pretty clean radio rip of the track, it’s pretty damn sick… GET YR DANCE ON!
Mark Ronson and The Business INTL team up with Spank Rock and The View’s Kyle Falconer for this new track previewed from his forthcoming Record Collection LP – dropping October 5 in the US via Columbia. great melodies, this album is gonna be a beast. GET INTO IT!
How has your summer been? I see that your buddy Antwan dropped an album recently. Do you mind dropping some FULL-LENGTH material before the year ends? If not, I’m going to have to keep taking these random one-minute leaks and adding some of your other verses to make them sort of resemble full songs. I know you creative types, but come on..at least blow our wigs back with a guest verse a la “Walk It Out” or the above, “Everybody”.
ZOMBIES. cross dressing. SYNTHS! The Cribs new one-off single “Housewife” has come as a welcome surprise since it’s recent release and debut on zane lowe. some pretty rad sounds/ideas happening on this track… musically, a different take from Ignore The Ignorant. we’re looking forward to what this prelude offers to the rest of their forthcoming release…
“MoneyGrabber” is a great new track previewed from Fitz and The Tantrums new album Pickin Up The Pieces available August 24 via Dangerbird Records. the band is offering a free download here.
Jimmy Eat World have dropped a new single called “My Best Theory” from their anticipated Invented LP – due September 28 via Interscope. this tune has got some teeth on it… seven albums deep and these guys are still cranking out jams like this, you gotta love that!! stream it over at the band’s website and get more info on Jimmy Eat World’s forthcoming release here.
Jeremy Sole adds his touch to “Midnight Sun” from Natural Self’s My Heart Beats Like A Drum LP. that, + some sultry vox from Elodie Rama = one pretty bad ass track.
off the heels of a collabo on UNKLE’s latest release, along with their recent announcement of a co-headlining tour with Black Mountain, and more, The Black Angels are stirring up some noise in 2010. “Telephone” is a great track previewed from their forthcoming Phosphene Dream LP expected September 14th.
another favorite from Breton‘s Sharing Notes EP. this EP is pretty boss, and not short on innovative ideas to back it up. one fan took special note to the group’s direction and put together this sick video for “Penultimate” (see below).
“Record Collector” is the lead track previewed from Lissie‘s new and forthcoming debut LP, Catching A Tiger, available via Fat Possum – and expected to drop official in the US August 17. this track doesn’t fall short on capturing that BIG Lissie sound, which incredibly comes from such a little person. not to mention a great bridge at the end. we love it!

new and previewed from The Anchorman Mixtape, dropping August 6th, K-Os teams up with fellow canuck and Death from Above 1979’s Sebastien Grainger for singing and drumming stylings on “BlackWater”. as for the track; amazing-hat dude (above) looks pretty damn psyched on it, and we think James Brown could definitely get down. your take…
