Gloucestershire four piece Low Chimes (f/k/a Hot Feet) stream impressive debut, the meandering, transportive, groove-stuck “Sleepwalking”. The “Sleepwalking” single, which is sampled below from Low Chimes forthcoming debut LP Illuminate , is available now.
Marathon will release a new double EP on May 12 from Aussie in Oakland, CA Hazel English. The 2x EP will feature a new set of songs in the “Just Give In” EP (from which the sunny and cool “More Like You” is excerpted) and her debut EP from last year “Never Going Home”. This track does exactly what it says it’s going to do: it takes you on a J O U R N E Y. Nostalgic symphonic sounds add comfort and ease to this track. Let jinsang’s track, “Journey” wash away your worries and destress your mind. Enjoy.
Leeds UK collective (and Mabel collaborators) Gotts Street Park debut with RJD2-esque (even a little DJ Premier-esque) “This World”, a potent bit of hip hop particularly suited for late night hours.
Transatlantic (London & L.A.) neo-R&B group FARR stream strong online debut in form of the very magnetic tune “Down”.
Two Another, the duo behind indie R&B winners like “Shouldn’t Have Done That” and “Keeping Me Under” return today with glossy new pop number in the form of “World Demands It”. “World Demands It” is sampled from the twosome’s forthcoming second EP, out later this year.
The first time I heard NAV was on Travis Scott’s song “Beibs in the Trap”, which was eventually made into a music video. NAV stayed underground after the release until his self-titled mixtape NAV dropped late February. My favorite track from the project is “Good for it” listed below. Check out the entire project on all major streaming services.
Red Bull Records will release on June 23rd “I Don’t Like Being Honest”, the debut EP from Utah band The Aces. “Physical”, the EP’s first stream, is mixed by heavyweight Mike Crossey (The 1975, Fickle Friends). The track gets it’s dough on it’s tranche of undeniable/strong hook writing and candy sweet production. Into it.
“Still Fly” is some real vintage Drake, coming from his 2008 remix of Big Tymers “Still Fly”. The song is an interesting view into the development of the current Drake. The track has a similar melodic flow that he is known for today. Peep drake’s new project More Life on any major streaming service.
