Saytek – Reintroduce

saytek

Back in September we covered London producer Saytek (a.k.a. Joseph Keevill) for his superbly mesmerizing tech-house track “Realisation”, which we liked for its juicy shimmery metallic accents and subtle murmuring high-drama haunting-reverby chant-vibe vocals. We’re fully enjoying his latest vibrantly-textured luminous-sensual (deep and spacey) quirky-vocaled house track called “Reintroduce” that comes off the Lapsus Music Talents Vol. 10 compilation. Francis – Follow Me Home

francis

Strangers Candy will release Marathon, the new LP from Swedish band Francis, on February 5. The warm “Follow Me Home” is excerpted here from Marathon and it succeeds on its subtly precise arranging and hook writing (the track grabs at you and pulls you to it nearly immediately but without any overt quality or hokey-ness) and it’s A+ lead vocal from singer Petra Mases. Listen below.

Aquilo – Never Seen You Get So Low

aquilo3

B3SCI Records alums Aquilo stream cinematic new ballad-y track “Never Seen You Get So Low” from forthcoming TBA album. The starry-eyed introspective song is as equally evocative of its subject matter/lyrical content (the guitar harmonics lilt, the slide work yearns) as it is just plainly beautiful. Look for Aquilo’s debut LP in 2016.

Alohaha – Welcome To Your New Life

alohaha

We dig the easy pace of the new tumbleweed pop track “Welcome To Your Life”, the debut song online from Alohaha aka producer Jake Sinclair and poet Lyndsay Thornton. A neat blend of country and western sounds, Wilco-esque fidelity, and touch of eclectic quality (into those Waikiki-ready bits of slide guitar), “Welcome To Your New Life” is a quite strong debut.

Kenton Slash Demon – Syko (Round’s Slow Response Remix)

kentonslashdemon

We like the uniquely-fashioned brightly-geared emotionally-uplifting far-out trance-y expansive deep house sentiments of Danish producer Torsten Lindsø Andersen, a.k.a. Round, on his beautifully-mellow voluptuously-stylish synth-heavy slow-burner fix of “Syko” from B3 favorite artist Copenhagen-based duo Kenton Slash Demon (a.k.a. Silas Moldenhawer and Jonas Kenton). Reviewed by Erin Shay.

G-Eazy – Random

geazy

G-Eazy’s forthcoming album When It’s Dark Out is set to drop December 4th. The Bay Area artist has dropped several singles from the project in the lead up to its release and not a one thusfar has missed. The latest, “Random”, is an anthemic track dedicated to Gerald’s hard work and devotion toward his art; proclaiming “none of this is happening by accident”. Reviewed by Jake Goldstein.

Lea Beiley x J. Roosevelt – Subtract & Divide

leabailey

This summer we featured LA-based producer J. Roosevelt for “When I Run Don’t Chase Me” a deeply seductive lightly-simmering jazz-tinged electro-instrumental track. We’re into J. Roosevelt’s latest collaboration with Cali singer-songwriter Lea Beiley called “Subtract & Divide” which caught our ears immediately with its profoundly vibrant synth-driven accents, drippy slow-cadence percussion and divine sweetly-uplifting moody-sentiment vocals. Premiere: LZRS TXN – Let It Go

lzrstxn

LZRS TXN (Lazarus Taxon) is the newcomer duo of Austin-based producer Evil Earn and Boston emcee and singer Francis Sobotka. Debut track “Let It Go” turns about a space house instrumental frame fit to Francis’ contemplative bars and hits for us stylistically somewhere between mid-career Lupe and The Foreign Exchange. Stream the B3 Premiere of “Let It Go” from LZRS TXN below.

TEK.LUN – Where I Was Born

teklun

B3 new fave HW&W rep’d artist Baltimore producer/beatmaker Rashad Tek Williams, also known as TEK.LUN, outdoes himself on new jam “Where I Was Born” a luscious and whimsical dynamic-dub-infused sweeping-energetic synth-y mood changer which we dig immensely for its vintage vibe vocal sample and wacky-discombobulated set of prolific mismatched beats.
