Rejjie Snow – Keep Your Head Up

rejjiesnow2

The Irish-born US-based Rejjie Snow streams quiet storm-tipped new one “Keep Your Head Up”. The new song which follows the Future and Rich the Kid-featuring “Product” glides through a rhodes-y 70’s-styled vibes-down R&B and repeated refrain to magnetic results. Look for more music forthcoming very soon from Mr. Snow and further details on his debut LP Dear Annie.

Dead Horse Beats – Thinking Of You (Instrumental)

deadhorsebeats

Montreal electro/hip-hop producer Patrick Wayde (a.k.a. Dead Horse Beats) impresses with a beautiful instrumental rendition of Sister Sledge track “Thinking of You” (which is off their 1979 We Are Family album). A Bastard Jazz rep’d beauty, “Thinking of You”, is a quiet jazz centered dynamo that we recommend you hear. We think Dead Horse Beats does excellent work at dampening the original’s dated disco vibes to create a really sharp four minutes of modernized dreamy jazz-inspired bliss electronica. We really like how effectively he transforms the good time disco party track into a groovy airy electro instrumental and we have placed the very talented Dead Horse Beats on our list of artists to watch. Teleman – Dusseldorf

teleman2

Teleman will release sophomore LP Brilliant Sanity via Moshi Moshi on April 8th. Latest stream “Dusseldorf” follows aesthetically the path cut by “Fall In Time” with the band pursuing a tighter, bulkier, more concise sound. We dig the new Dan Carey-produced direction of Teleman and we dig “Dusseldorf”. Stream it below.

Pretty Sister – Drive

prettysister

“Drive” the new track from SoCal artist Pretty Sister is a very perfect bit of sunny indie pop. Anthemic is a word/neologism used A LOT on music blogs but “Drive” easily earns that tag with its potent pop punch. Listen.

Bluestaeb – Guanaco

bluestaeb

Paris via Berlin Oldschool Future Tribe /Jakarta Records rep’d producer Bluestaeb (who recently released his Rodalquilar LP) thrills us with a magnetic new percussion-cultured production called “Guanaco”; a keyboard-tempered mood-scape with a divine potpourri of clack-y up-tempo beats and ethereal looped atmospheric vocals artfully meshed with Bluestaeb’s killer horn melody and tripped-out synth accents. Amazing. On repeat. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Kinds – Hands Up

kinds

UK duo Kinds stream their proper debut single “Hands Up”. “Hands Up” traffics in a cool mix of R&B-influenced (sort of Phantogram-esque) syncopated instrumentals and an immediate hook-laden pop vocal. Very very good.

Elènne – Ruthless Bloom

elenne2

We like the tender-hearted fastidiously-wrought dance-driven groove-centric quirky-vibe-percussion-tempered minimalist-vocals-tinged synth-infused electro jam from B3 featured Stuttgart artist Elènne called “Ruthless Bloom”. Great tune! Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Sea Bed – Moving Ghosts

seabed

Fledgling Brighton organic electro band Sea Bed (who have a sound that Clash Magazine aptly described as a cross between “mutant r&b, fragrant electronics and oddball pop”) have less than 250 followers on Soundcloud and only one track posted. We’re listening to the duo’s very excellent debut song called “Moving Ghosts” the lead single from their forthcoming “Moving Ghosts” EP (out via @fourthieves on November 11th). After hearing the song a number of times (on repeat) we agree with Clash Magazine that Sea Bed have a very special sound and bright promise. A percolating mesh of background elements (messy synth accents, subtle vocal atmospherics and perfectly-tipped beats) blended with tremendously catchy, poetic-soulful r&b vocals, “Moving Ghosts” is a hell of a beginning for Sea Bed! We’re truly looking forward to the release of “Moving Ghosts”! Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Two People – Fading

twopeople

“Fading” is the debut track online from Melbourne AU band Two People. Comprised of Phoebe Lou and Joey Clough from former favorite band (now sadly disbanded) Snakadaktal, the soul and A+ melodic choices that were at the center of Snakadaktal’s many strengths as a band are manifest here but in more immediate, accessible way. “Fading” is a great debut.

Flamingosis – Oakland (Feat. Bollywood Life)

flamingosis5

B3 fave sample-maestro producer Flamingosis (who got his name from a freestyle Frisbee move that his Frisbee champion father invented) keeps the amazing songs coming with “Oakland”; an absolutely beautiful, sunny tempered, golden guitar laced, Bollywood Life collaboration from his upcoming Febuary 12th-release “Great Hair” EP. Bimas & Audiohell – Forever Yours

bimas

Go deep with the fabulous intensity driven hybrid tech-house/techno stylings of new-to-B3 artists Venetian producer Audiohell and Italy-based Belgian Bimas. The pair, who recently created the 4-track “Destroy” EP (out on Gorge and Nick Curly’s 8bit Records), revel in a dreamy sense-extensive genre-meshing angle that we truly enjoy. Voluptuously appointed, attention commanding, and stewing in some potent magnetic rhythms, “Forever Yours” is our top choice from the compilation (which also features tracks “Destroy” and “The Hole”). We love it. Reviewed by Erin Shay.
