Welcome Beauty Sleep to B3SCI. The Belfast band impress in a major way on the Phoenix-tinged boy/girl pop of track “The Dark”. Very good.

Favorite ambience-setting hip-hop producer SwuM. keeps the excellent songs coming with a sublimely smooth r&b-vibe vocals-led Drake-sampling hip-hop diddy named “Owls”. Reviewed by Erin Shay.
A cousin melodically to Leon Bridges and vocally to Anthony Hamilton the anonymous Seramic channels some of the run of soul music history’s apex moments on “People Say”. Built on an almost cosmic choral base instrumentally, “People Say” is so uplifting it’s heart wrenching to listen to. It’s one of the best tracks of the year so far.
We love the emotive sexy-seductive combination of hip-hop vibe street rant and slick r&b vocal atmospherics on “Stay Up” the latest smooth-talking hip-hop joint production from Ottawa, Canada artist Maurice Moore and Toronto-based producer BNJMN (both artists featured here). The lyrics and vocals (the centerpiece of the song) have a deeply resonant effect of calm and cheer while remaining up-beat and energetic. Love love love it! On repeat. Reviewed by Erin Shay.
SoCal band Private Island follow-up first online hit “Enough” with 70’s rock-referencing new track “Drugs”. While sonically in line with the heavy guitar leads of rock’s pinnacle period of excess, “Drugs” is sneakily very modern in its arrangement, maneuvering structurally within an at the same time concise neatly hooky frame. “Drugs” is previewed from “Sunbreak”, Private Island’s new EP which is due later this year.
Tune into the amazing new song from new-to-B3 Swedish artist Tacocat (fab name). Wow. After merely hearing one of their songs its safe to say we dig the sound of Tacocat!! A veritable cornucopia of clever lyrics, playful vibe vocals, basic instrumentals (dig the guitar riff) and a perfect slice of pent-up aggro emotion, Tacocat’s “Talk” is the second single from the Hardly Art artist’s Lost Time LP (out April 1st on Hardly Art records). We’re spinning Hezekiah’s cool new mix of The Life of Pablo’s most meta track “I Love Kanye”. Sampling Joslyn Brown’s “Somebody Else’s Guy”, Hezekiah pushes “I Love Kanye” further down the meta rabbit hole by fixing KW’s bars to a “Old Kanye”-esque bit of fast moving chopped up soul. Love.
Lose yourself in the subtle flamboyance of “Nothing For You” the latest soul stirring production from Brisbane, AU artist Charles Murdoch (who also just released a remix EP named “Point”). A beautifully glimmered combination of electronic vocals, shadowy synthesizer atmospherics and relentless trap percussion, “Nothing for You” also features the elegant pop vocals of fellow Aussie Laura Jane Lowther (a.k.a. KUČKA). On the track (which exudes a moody dynamic) Murdoch revels the listener in a tranquil selection of atmospherics and instrumentals neatly layered in with some simmering melodic keyboard touches and Kucka’s angelic vocals. Murdoch’s multi-dimensional “Nothing for You” is out via Future Classic. Reviewed by Erin Shay.
Beshken is a producer and artist hailing from Los Angeles and currently based in New York City who’s cultivated a unique sound revolving around electronic and hip-hop. Today he blesses us with his “Motley Crue” remix for THEY, which is a incredible listen from front to back. I definitely think that this is going to be a massive year for the rising beat smith. Enjoy! Reviewed by Simon Eng.
Groove out to the latest sprawled-out bright-side techno jam from B3 uniquely favorite Copenhagen duo Kenton Slash Demon. Called “Dok” the track is a flavorful mesh of world-music vibe vocal ambiances, incessant driving drum and percussion rhythms (signature KSD), and a technicolor mood-altering synth line. Incredible (as per usual). Reviewed by Erin Shay.
We’re smitten with blog favorite minimalist pop artist Day Wave (yet again) for his excellent new song “Stuck” the Oakland native’s recent dreamy-atmospheric melodic-toned synth-pop track. Day Wave effectively saturates the listener in a beautiful combination of subtle hazy instrumental elements, mellow atmospherics and enthusiastic classic chipper vibe pop vocals. The second single from Day Wave’s “Hard To Read” EP, “Stuck” is out on March 4th. Reviewed by Erin Shay
Belfast-based Conor Duggan aka Robots Can’t Dance catches a soulful 70’s-soul inspired vibe on neat new midtempo disco re-spin “Running”. The track’s sample source is the mid 00’s dance-driven R&B song Domu & Pete Simpson’s “It Won’t Mean a Thing” which has been turned about in such a way as to suit Evelyn “Champagne” King or Patrice Rushen. It’s a very cool bit of mixing. Listen.
