Teedra Moses – Get Free

teedramoses

We’ve been big fans of Teedra Moses for a minute now. Recently, our girl signed with Rick Ross’s Maybach Music Group. Here’s hoping that means she’ll be able to get hands on some of those syrupy Rawse mafioso beats. Teedra was born to sing over that shit (think Gwen McCrae). She’s one of the best voices in the R&B game, period. Cheers to the MMG signing being the start of a push to the top that is deserving of her talent.

Drake – The Ride (Feat. The Weeknd)

drake1

Hearing Drake and The Weeknd on a sort of 70’s soul influenced major key track like this is nuts. Take Care is sooooo fucking good; such a massive step forward from Thank Me Later. Hard to believe it’s the same guy. Take Care might be a classic. It’s, no doubt, one of the best LPs of 2011. “The Ride” might be our favorite track from it yet.

Cee-Lo Green – Anyway

ceelogreen

“Anyway”, new from Cee-Lo, will be a bonus track on the upcoming re-release of his b3sci Top 10 album of 2010 The Lady Killer. Give the nicely-tipped Rivers Cuomo co-penned tune a spin.

The duo’s self-titled debut (out Nov. 22 on Hotflush) is one of the b3sci team’s most anticipated records of the year. The wait is killlllllllinnnnggggggg us. Hotflush, promo a bro.

Childish Gambino – Letter Home

childishgambino

So “Bonfire” was pretty hype. “Heartbeat” goes in well enough. But what about the rest of Camp. The LP’s been streaming for a couple days now on NPR. We’ve listened through a few times and …..eh. Not saying Camp is a let down but we’re not sure the LP as a whole will really exceed expectations (which are, admittedly, very high). The R&B-y “Letter Home” is one of our favorites from Camp and features a singing D. Glover pining out to an estranged lover. Camp is due Nov. 15.

Jamie xx – Far Nearer (Nadastrom & Sabo Moombahton Edit)

jamiexx

Seeing “Jamie xx” & “Moombahton” in the same track listing might be recipe for some weird-ass probably shitty music. But after hearing Nadastrom & Sabo’s moombahton edit for “Far Nearer” on Anthony Valadez’s KCRW show this week, we were instantly hooked.

Jhene Aiko – In Love We Trust (Feat. Casey Veggies)

jheneaiko

Young Veggies goes in again. As the teen LA rapper is tapped for a feature on this new track from fellow Angeleno Jhene Aiko. “In Love We Trust” is a solid slice of that R&B heat that should inspire repeat spins.

Stalley – 330 (Prod. Rashad)

stalley

Though most the b3sci crew reps the 216 and 440. We’re affiliated enough in 330 to put on for Stalley on this ode to that sprawling piece of NE Ohio area code. Akron, Canton, Mansfield & Massillon, Stalley’s hometown. Cleveland’s Hip Hop station Z 107.9, we’re looking at you, HERE’S the next Z “Home Jam”. Put this shit on. The NEO fam would go bananas. Dems – Down On You

dems

Dems, a London UK-based 3-piece, have a coldly emotive, slightly r&b-ish influenced, fiercely melodic sound they may remind of The xx or other like bands. On tour now with the rising UK star Azealia Banks, Dems are set to release a new EP called “House” next week. We can’t wait to hear what else will feature on the EP, as what we’ve heard so far, “Down On You” and the track it’s paired with as a single “House”, have us really really excited. Tip (DoML)

Dev – Kiss My Lips (Feat. Fabolous)

dev

Our (pregnant) girl Dev has been busily in the studio putting down new tracks as she polishes up her oft-delayed The Night The Sun Camp Up LP for release. Her latest of these freshly recorded tracks is the Loso-featuring “Kiss My Lips”. The song’s got that steady midtempo pop-electro groove that Dev seems so well adept in. Give our girl a listen.
