Ah yes, it’s 2017 and finally someone (the great Cherokee) has sampled the main riff (one of classic rock’s greatest) from the Eagles “I Can’t Tell You Why” and made a house track out of it. Listen to “End of Summer” below and check out of this photo of Don Henley with a perm.

The electric vocals of Kailee Morgue on “Medusa” is definitely something else. The hypnotic beats and heavenly vocals is exactly what I’m needing during midterm season. Chill out to this track.

Alternative Pop duo Tulpa and Blankts present the “Storytales” EP. A woozy 4 track project that features none other than gnash. What really makes their music stand out is Tulpa’s classical influence and production abilities that’s woven in tastefully throughout the whole project. It’s perfectly intricate and simplistic all at once. You can stream EP track “Ten Missed Calls” below and the full EP at Soundcloud

Four Tet’s latest album is smoother than butter. The transitions are beautiful and as always, this guy delivers some major melodies. One track that especially stood out of me on his new release, New Energy is called “Daughter”. The repetitive beat creates a sense of cool collectiveness throughout the entirety of the track while the ebbing and flowing of the piano and vocals create some excitement. Head over to Spotify to stream it.

The power team of Brittany Howard, Becca Mancari, and Jesse Lafser are Bermuda Triangle. “Suzanne”, the trio’s second single (following on from “Rosey”) is anchored by Howard’s plaintive main vocal and a cool vaguely Brazilian pop styling that we’re into. Stream “Suzanne” below.

We’re loving the baroque balladry of “Hall of Hours” from Toronto’s Teen Ravine. Really simply, “Hall of Horrors” is a beautiful piece of songwriting and arranged in a way that indicative of a supremely talented artist. A++.

“Deep Water” is new from talented Aussies Desert Moons. The twosome of singer Jake Dobson and brother Simon Dobson, “Deep Water” follows on from strong debut track “Rough Trade” and traffics in a drum machine-led sound of cinematic string sweeps and good dark pop melodics.
Frontman Jake Dobson describes “Deep Water”, “‘Deep Water’ is a metaphor for feeling outside your comfort zone. Just like deep ocean waters, the idea of being in uncharted territory can be a confronting concept. At times in my life, I’ve had no choice but to face my demons head on, however ended up in a more advantageous position by addressing these challenges. It’s helped define my character and realise that fear is only a delusion created by the mind”.
Desert Moons will perform their first live show tomorrow night (technically tonight in AUS) (9/29) at Rare Finds #33 held at Oxford Art Factory’s Gallery Bar in Sydney. Enjoy the B3SCI Premiere of “Deep Water” from Desert Moons below.

The Dutch future bass legend, WRLD, has delighted my ears with his recent remix of Sam Bruno’s “Hello Hater.” Playful vocals ride atop perky synths and bubbly percussion, creating a wondrous atmosphere reminiscent of a children’s picture book. If you’re looking for a fun, euphoric dance track to fuel this weekends adventures, you’re in the right place.
