Todd Edwards knocks it out with this jazzed up vocal remix of “Headphones” by Little Boots. His smooth, swanky house edge and tropical tone transform the larger than life electro pop hit into a jaunty little disco masterpiece. Turn it up loud and shake it! By Erin Feathers

Synkro keeps it real (and then some) with this transportive and ultra soothing remix of sincere-to-the-core track “Night Time” by The XX. We’re charmed by his electro garage touch as this dude artfully dispels a vocal melancholy with a light and progressive series of carefree beats and tones that may leave your heart trembling. Check it out! By Erin Feathers

The Hives blew their Coachella crowd away this year, and their Lex Hives album will drop on Tuesday. I don’t think it will go down as their best, but it starts out with 69 seconds of hotness. Come on and check out “Come On!”

“Lady” by tUnE-yArDs, Angelique Kidjo, Ahmir ‘?uestlove’ Thompson & Akua Naru is not just a mouthful but quite the earful too, in a good way of course. This interesting collaboration pulls together African singer Angelique Kidjo’s and Merrill Garbus of tUnE-yArDs’ vocals with rapper Akua Naru and The Roots’ drummer ?uestlove for a blinding re-make of “Lady” by the Nigerian Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti. What’s more – this is just the first track from the forthcoming album (RED) Hot + FELA as part of an AIDS awareness initiative. To support the course you can download Lady from the iTunes link below. Big Sean takes the lead on the latest to surface from Carter’s forthcoming I Am Not A Human Being 2 album. Or is that tonally the other way around? Does it matter this track is hot.

Theo keeps heading down the road of an outside-the-box head space with this new Twin Shadow produced track from his forthcoming Rose Island release. The new collab “Golden” yields as much new wave, coastal beach vibes as it does hip-hop r&b. (PS – you know somewhere down the line there had to be some discussion about adding a steel drum somewhere on this track.)

We love this. New duo Roane Namuh & Reva DeVito offer up something-fresh a take on RnB and soul. There’s a chemistry on their latest Cloudshine release. The album track “Frozen” is especially drenched in sultriness with a digable nod to the ’93 Top 15 (Billboard 100) “Rebirth of Slick”. Cloudshine is available to stream at their BandCamp. Give it a spin thru.

Martin Solveig just dropped this live 25 piece orchestra version of his smash “The Night Out”. This tune has longer legs than they make pants. Even at that we still can’t get enough.
