RAVE’S FAVE: Two Door Cinema Club – Sleep Alone

Two Door Cinema Club are one of the most promising new bands with a killer live show, and this brand new single begins their sophomore effort. There are no surprises here but it’s a good one. It’s fresh-sounding song with hooks that should soon have it all over the summer airwaves. By Bruce Rave

New Navy – Breathe (Telepopmusik Cover)

Telepopmusik’s “Breathe” is pretty much one of my favorite songs ever. Not sure I’ve ever heard a guitar-driven version of it before. New Navy, the down under band that put out that good “Zimbabwe” single last year have a guitar-driven go at it. Let us know what you think below.

Delphic – Good Life

Manchester band Delphic return with an updated sound on “Good Life”. We loved much of the band’s debut Acolyte. “Good Life” doesn’t really sound much like Acolyte though. Gone are the nods to of-that-era electronic music and in are influences of American indie and more mainstream pop.

Bondax – It’s You

Newcomers Bondax are one of our favorite new additions to the UK dance scene. New track “It’s You” is a bit of a departure from the duo’s earlier more hazy-sounding work but is still a track you definitely need your ears on.

TNGHT – Higher Ground

BOOM. TNGHT is the collaborative efforts of one Hudson Mohawke and one Lunice. If you’re cool like us, you know both artists murder just about every track that get involved with; so expect “Higher Ground” to start fixing your face from the moment you hit play.

Moonlight Bride – Drug Crimes (Machines Are People Too Remix)

Moonlight Bride were an act on our must see list for SXSW this year. Of course general live festival chaos took its course, schedules crissed and crossed every which direction, etc, etc and we missed the band’s one set, that we knew of. (PS if you were there hit us up because we need to know how it was!) Fortunately the band have released a new remix collection of their Twin Lakes EP to remind us of what we missed. A standout from the collection is this expansive version of “Drug Crimes” produced by the Machines Are People Too team. Give it a looky below.

Take it smooth with a dim-the-lights slow jam that runs the gamut of cool. This collaboration from Dashius Clay and producer Justincredible seamlessly meshes slick R & B style and catchy hip hop flow with lyrics that would make Usher proud. Shit is cash. By Erin Feathers
