Fazerdaze – Jennifer

fazerdaze

The hazy summertime pop of “Jennifer” is new from Auckland NZ artist Fazerdaze. “Jennifer” is built on warm reverby textures, a deep in the mix vocal, and a candy sweet (with the slightest tinger of melancholy to keep things varied) set of melodies.

Kid Wave – Wonderlust

KID WAVE Steve Glashier2

“Wonderlust” is new from Heavenly Recordings band Kid Wave. Produced by Dan Austin (Doves, Cherry Ghost), “Wonderlust” is a 10 out of 10 example of big disto rock with a pop-conscious hooky central core. We love the track and will be looking for Kid Wave’s upcoming debut LP, due later in 2015.

EXGF – We Are The Hearts

exgf

“We Are The Hearts” is the second Hypem chart topper in as many tracks for newcomers EXGF. The pinpoint perfect pop of “We Are The Hearts” is the big, anthemic and hooky type of track that indie breakouts (and dreams) are made of.

Natalie McCool – Pins

Natalie_McCool_DIO_press_3_crop

“Pins” is the new one from Liverpudlian songwriter Natalie McCool. “Pins”, as with previous track and one of our favorite songs of last year “Dig It Out”, is an excellent platform for Natalie’s uniquely ethereal and visceral vocal that has us captivated. Look for an EP from Natalie McCool coming later this year.

Premiere: Oh Wonder – The Rain (StéLouse Edition)

ohwonderremixart

Two of the blogosphere’s hottest names connect on this new StéLouse remix of Oh Wonder’s latest “The Rain”. The Denver-based StéLouse selects for a low touch rhythm track and a massaged-back cooled-out instrumental doing well to boost up the original’s melodic qualities in a very complementary way. Stream the B3 Premiere of StéLouse’s remix of Oh Wonder’s “The Rain” below.
