Leon Bridges – Lisa Sawyer

leonbridges2

There is nothing we don’t love about “Lisa Sawyer”, the new one from DFW’s Leon Bridges. Romantic doo-wop-ref’ing harmony and instrrumentation done in a way that is both very affecting and comes off with a fresh feel that makes Bridges’ emotional communication in the track so much more real.

Odesza – All We Need (Haywyre Remix)

awn_haywyre_2_

Haywyre’s new official remix of “All We Need” by Odesza is a feel-good, futuristic take on the original that deserves your attention. The catchy synth layers together perfectly with the upbeat bassline and smooth keyboard section. There are a lot of remixes of Odesza floating around the internet right now, but this is easily one of the best ones – hands down. Reviewed by Daniel.

Soulful and visceral, emotionally accurate to a pinpoint, “Chemical” succeeds on its standout set of intense melody and pushes further forward through its forward thinking and intelligent arranging (elements from UK bass to house to trap are subtly spread throughout the mix). “The Synesthesiac” is out April 13th on Island.
