Premiere: Triptides – Set You Free [Video]

Triptides have their new sophomore LP Predictions at the ready. Noise around the trippy guitar jangle collective from Indiana has been building steadily with recent support from the likes of NME, DIY, Clash, and Rough Trade to name a few. To mark the November 18th release of the album, Triptides are letting loose on a new video for the hooky psychedelia of their single “Set You Free”. We’ve got you set up with the premiere for the video below, and be sure to pick up a copy of the Predictions on 11/18 via Stroll On Records.

Miami Horror – Colours In The Sky (feat. Cleopold)

Aussies via L.A. Miami Horror announce the very nice new synth pop single “Colours In The Sky” on Neon Gold. The follow-up to the also quite strong “Real Slow”, “Colours In The Sky”‘s quality is indicative of a band w/ their arrow pointed firmly up.

Vök – Before

The distinct voicings of Clarinets and Saxophones are becoming a pretty big deal over in Iceland at the moment with promising young trip-hop bands like Samaris and also Vök, who particular put the lesser spotted instrument to good use. Makes you wonder if Tom Waits has been hiding out in the Scandinavian country leaving a secret treasure bounty of ideas in his wake? I guess we’ll never know. Either way, “Before” is a great track. There’s clearly a bit of xx’s guitar tones present but from the second verse things really take off as Margret Ran’s stunning vocals make their mark.
