Foals – Inhaler

Released today we have the new single from Foals titled, “Inhaler”. Though their third album, Holy Fire isn’t coming out until Feb. 2013, the buzz is growing and this first single is just adding to it. With a steep rise in intensity in every instrument, you can’t just help but rock your head back and forth to the beat. If the album is constructed like this song, expect huge things to come Foals way. By Brian Litwin

Dan The Man – Everybody, Nobody

Beloved sticksman Daniel Haggis of The Wombats is aka Dan The Man. His new and self-titled solo debut dishes out some proper pop that your ears are sure to fancy. All songs on the album were written and produced by Haggis, as he himself explains, “it’s a collection of songs I made over several years and was recorded in Liverpool during 2009/2010. Having toured for most of 2007/2008 I wanted to get off the drum kit and into the studio for a little change of scenery so I called a few friends and started recording what turned into this album.” While Dan The Man does harken the quirky brit-pop we know and love at the heart of The Wombats, Haggis’ collection of clever odes is particularly full of whimsy, and theatrics, all of which highlight the vast breadth of his own creative headspace. Third track on the album, “Everybody, Nobody” is a standout. The musically catchy anthem is somewhat a cheeky slap in the face with it’s darker tinged lyrics depicting the realities of fucked up society. The perfect tune for decades of jukebox diving at your next favourite watering hole.

Moss – We Never Part

Hailing from the Netherlands, 4 piece Moss have released a new uplifting antheesque track called “We Never Part”. We recently caught them at Filter’s Culture Collide Festival, and were quite impressed. Carrying over the same indie-pop sound from their last album Ornaments, Moss seems to be on the right track for bigger things. By Brian Litwin

Rave’s Fave: Breaking Laces – Mr. Curry Is A Cop

My latest fave is dedicated to those of you in the US who will be voting on marijuana initiatives in the this election. This track is in the vein of Weazer’s “Hash Pipe”. A fun tune about the cool new teacher Mr. Curry, who is actually a narc. Breaking Laces formed in Brooklyn and have released 5 albums and 5 EP’s since 2003. By Bruce Rave

The 1975 – You

“You” is the latest song to drop via the forthcoming and second EP from The 1975. The closing track on the Manchester collective’s Sex EP, “You” couldn’t be an any more appropriate climactic conclusion with it’s melodic climb to the top of the world. It’s an anthem of the most telling sort. We recently had the chance to chat with The 1975 about their forthcoming EP, debut album in the works, R&B inspiration and more, you can check out the Q&A in full here.

Gap Dream – Generator

If you know b3sci, then you we rep our city (CLEVELAND) all day. Suicide Squeeze signees and 216 band Gap Dream have been on our A rotation list for a little while now. The band is starting to make a bit of noise among the big kids of online music press (Pitchfork, Spin, etc) with latest (and awesome) cruncher single “Generator”. #sundaycrunchers

PAPA – Put Me to Work

PAPA’s “A Good Woman Is Hard to Find” EP was one of our favorite releases from last year. Here, the LA-based act dials up the great writing and feel for melody and rhythm to an even further degree with new track “Put Me to Work”, the first single from the band’s due early 2013 full length debut. 100 % psyched and behind this one.

Colour The Atlas – Snow

Colour The Atlas will be releasing their debut EP in late November. Lately we’ve been immersed in the band’s unique blend of indie pop with tasty synths and grabbing boy-girl vocals. “Snow” leads off the EP offering an anticipatory introduction to a band with a bright future yet to come.

The Raveonettes – Young and Cold

Some tracks you just can’t stop listening too. The lead track off The Raveonettes new Observator album has been wearing through our hard drive (if that’s possible). “Young and Cold” yields one of our favorites to date from the Raves with it’s simple duet and singalong a caliber melody. Do yourself a favor and check out the full hauntingly sweet spectrum of the Raveonettes latest Observator album.

Premiere: Die Mason Die – Hold My Crown

Die Mason Die channel a darker side of their folky roots with new track, “Hold My Crown”. This, the second song to see release from the UK trio, offers up another exciting glimpse at the band’s unfettered intuition. On “Hold My Crown”, the colorful vocals of 19 year old frontman Samuel Mason trudge through the vast depths of emotive story telling with natural ease. Both technically and structurally, the band’s less-traditional approach is uniquely succinct to the 3:30 pop song delivered. Check out “Hold My Crown” below and keep an eye out for the debut EP from Die Mason Die this November.

GHXST – Doomgirl

NYC based rockers Ghxst effectively mix 90’s alternative rock and a touch of the blues with their own distorted experimental style, delightfully dark and bawdy vocals, and unmistakable guitar excess. The aptly labeled deth-grunge trio who are originally from Britian site their musical influences as Jesus and Mary Chain, White Zombie, and Sonic Youth. Check out their irresistibly fierce track “Black Camaro” (video below) for its raw washed-out-bad-kid sensibility, booming damaged vocals, and relentless guitar grind. By Erin Feathers
