“Wave(s)” is another bit of A+ indie pop from NY-based Lewis Del Mar. Following up the blog hits “Loud(Y)” and “Memories”, “Wave(s)” sails on a pinpoint perfect construction of syncopated melody. Absolutely on repeat.

Get familiar with Sydney trio Mansionair (who graced us with one of 2014’s most-streamed indie hits “Hold Me Down”) on their lovely new perfectly-oozy emotionally-deep widespread-appeal radio-ready ballad track “Speak Easy” which we adore for its straightforward sing-song-y falsetto vocals and golden-vibe guitar accents. We love it. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

English shadowy-r&b-centered psychedelic-pop-leaning muted-atmospheric electronic indie rock four-piece band Glass Animals (who have also previously teamed up with the likes of other odd match hip-hop recording artists Rome Fortune and Chester Watson) joins forces with B3 fave Brooklyn-based hip-hop street-flow-dynamo Joey Bada$$ on the excellent new Yellowman-sampling stunner called “Lose Control” which we highly recommend for its artful brew of colorful dramatically-slow-going electro effects and phenomenally dynamic Joey Bada$$ dominated vocal musings. Great collaboration. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

I first discovered Raury when he was on the 2015 XXL freshman class cover. He’s a young kid out of Stone Mountain, Georgia with a unique flair and style of music. His debut album All We Need is about to drop on October 15 and so far it’s going to be dope. Another song from the album dropped today entitled “Forbidden Knowledge” featuring Big K.R.I.T.; on the track, Raury proves his wisdom is beyond his 19 years as he unravels the forbidden memories of his past while trying to find himself in the present. Day Wave, the project Oaktown man Jackson Phillips, is following up this summer’s “Headcase” EP with a new 7″ for House Arrest Records and “You Are Who You Are” is the jangled-out b-side to last month’s standout new one “Come Home Now”. Get into it below.

Still Parade, the project of Berlin-based musician Niklas Kramer, releases “Concrete Vision”, the first stream from the act’s upcoming debut LP. “Concrete Vision” is a hazy and accessible example of just very good indie pop writing, an accomplished track.

On the heels of her THC-produced early-90’s hip-hop vibe throwback track “Candy Salad” the ever-entertaining LA artist Doja Cat takes the cake with her new freestyle “Men Like Lavender”, a slow burning morose-moody scratchy-melodic tune which is packed with sentiment. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

LA band Blondfire, who we covered in 2014 for their dance-y dreamy alt-pop slice of heaven Young Heart LP, comes out with a catchy new one called “True Confessions” which we like for its pop-infused radio-ready sentimentality and excellent straight-forward anthemic-melodic sing-along vocals. Ah, this one’s a bit heavy isn’t it? “Creepy” is quite good. The track from L.A.-based newcomers Oyster Kids rides to a B3 A+, a neat well-appointed dark groove shinned up by a very good bit of pop writing in the melody. A band to keep ears on.

“Arrow” is the new sax-heavy (yes!) rhodes-driven (yes! x2) mid-tempo jam from Swedish duo Grapell. A track of the hushed, vaguely soulful, rhythm-led sort that is an easy mark for the B3 team, “Arrow” is a very special accomplished track that needs your ears. Listen.
