TCTS – You (Feat. Sam Sure)

tcts

“You” is the lead single from UK artist TCTS‘ sophomore EP outing “Games”. Featuring songwriter Sam Sure (of duo Sam Sure & Giacomo), “You” is a minimalist midtempo house-influenced number with just enough pulse and syncopation to be dance floor relevant as it is headphones relevant. “Games” is forthcoming on MTA Records.

The current love affair between Canadian Ryan Hemsworth and Aussie Wave Racer is creating waves on the internet. Flipping each other’s tracks (Ryan remixing “Streamers” and Wave Racer making vibey “Ryan Must Be Destroyed”) is not only a smartest move for both young DJ/producers, but also a huge win for the listener. Premiere: Thief – Cry Me a River (Justin Timberlake)

thief

Aussie songwriter/indie pop impresario PJ Wolf a/k/a Thief, who’s playful (and a little bit of an anthem) “Closer” was one of our favorite tunes of last fall, turns in an inventive rhythmically re-rinsed cover of a more than likely musical kindred spirit Justin Timberlake and one of the greatest songs of the 00’s (and probably of all time) “Cry Me a River”. Turn up the B3 Premiere of Thief’s take on “Cry Me a River” below.

IYES – Toys (demo)

IYES toys

Brighton duo IYES follow up the impressive showings of “Glow”, “Daddy” and “Lighthouse” with the hypnotic “Toys”. Hitting it out of the park, yet again, this track showcases their particular production and songwriting talent. The subtle guitar licks, the repetitive drum beat, and Melis’ vocals layer, make for yet another standout track. By Brian Litwin

Premiere: AYER – Black Diamond

AYER

Brooklyn’s AYER, the much-lauded project of vocalist Danny Schmittler, today releases the large and immense pop opus “Black Diamond”. While breakout tracks “Young” and “Circle Down” maneuvered within their R&B & electronic music-tinged pop frame with more subtle dynamics and ease of pace; “Black Diamond” aims at and 100% center-splits the target of big, well-constructed, infinitely catchy ambitious pop. From the track’s verses-so-strong they could be choruses to its even more giant refrains, “Black Diamond” is a clear starmaking moment for AYER. Sample the B3 premiere of “Black Diamond” below and look for the track available on iTunes now.
