Lewis Beck – UFOmism

lewisbeck

New York producer Lewis Beck runs a gamut of rad slowly-escalating beautifully-cathartic dream-scapes with his new techno colossus “UFOmism” which features a sensational blend of hand-drum beats and electro-tones awash with a lavishly-appointed bottomless-pit astronomical-vibe that is beautifully characteristic of well-produced techno. We’re into the track’s solid composition, cool depths of deliciously-reverberant drawn-out synth embellishment and multi-layered dimensional pull. A++ Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Sundara Karma – Flame (Roosevelt Remix)

sundarakarma

Last month B3 covered “Flame” the crossover-accessible anthemic-quality Sundara Karma single “Flame” and we gave the Reading-based indie rocker foursome an enthusiastic thumbs up on the track. This week bears witness to a cool-vibes tropical-beat-laced summer-driving fix of the song from UK house producer Roosevelt who B3 most recently showcased for his brightly-lit nu-disco-toned Greco Roman-released new tracks “Hold On”/”Night Moves” (out on July 10) which at the time was the first and second releases from Roosevelt in two years (which makes this remix of “Flame” his third). After hearing both Roosevelt tracks we are enthusiastic for more similarly excellent music to come. As for Sundara Karma be sure to check out a time-lapse variety of their tracks (spanning two years) here on the blog. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Sebastien Tellier – Comment revoir Oursinet (Darius Remix)

sebastientellier

Take yourself on an instrumentally radiant beat-centric sonic voyage with B3-blog featured-artist French producer Darius who we recently covered for his outstandingly warm Wayne Snow-vocaled mid-tempo original number “Helios”. On his newest track, a remix, Darius creates a deeply-saturated trippy-far-out moody-expansive prodigious-natured cosmic-vibe that we love, especially on a remix. Darius’ new deep house dance-leaning remix is an adaption of Sebastien Tellier’s mood-drenched atmospheric tapestry of sound “Comment Revoir Oursinet” From his 5th album L’Aventura. The outstandingly soulful track is one of Darius’ first remixes as of late, after his ethereal beauty snap-featured bright-synth take on Jessie Ware track “Champagne Kisses”. Reviewed by Erin Shay

B3’s low-key consistently-cool long-time-favorite trap-influenced eclectic-electro producer Andrea (who we recently featured for the infinite heady-atmosphere-laden Vanessa Elisha-featured track “Down”) turns the pace up a notch with his deeply-rooted herculean-bass-line-textured experimental-beat-embellished soundscape called “Without You” which is off the French producer’s “Black Magic” EP that released July 10th via Jakarta Records. Beshken – Know You Well (Feat. Mothica and Mayo)

beshken

Santa Monica producer Beshken woos us with subtlety on his new wonderfully dynamic synth-driven percussion-accented track “Know You Well” which is steeped in an excellent ultra-dramatic male-female vocal duet featuring B3 new-fave artist ethereal songstress Mothica and Chicago Cudi-school rapper Mayo. From the Alanis-style sad-undertone I-am-woman-hear-me-roar message and sweet sultry beats to the cheerful-uplifting vibe instrumentals and Mayo’s slick reassuring rhymes, we love this song. Evil Needle – Sunday Morning

evilneedle

Soulection artist and French beat-maker/composer Evil Needle recently released his beat-centric jazz-oriented new “Reminisce” EP. We are drawn to the compilation’s lesser-known beat-laced fizzy acid-jazz jam entitled “Sunday Morning” which mixes Evil Needle’s signature poignant deeply-soulful bass-driven electro-instrumental style with a poetic divinely-inspired accompanying piano vibe and ambient chirps that we really dig. Desert Sound Colony – Fashion (David Bowie)

desertsoundcolony

London three-piece electro/acoustic band Desert Sound Colony turns in a killer cover of David Bowie’s iconic funked-out new-wave alternative-underground wonder track “Fashion”; in which he relishes in an impressively reminiscent vintage-vibe pop-psychedelica sound that thoughtfully mimics the original track’s gentle repetitive rhythm and groundbreaking staccato vocal style. DSC creatively laces “Fashion” with a stellar highly-punctuated modern-twist guitar-riff and genius interludes of dub-based reverb that suit the classic 80’s hit to a T. In fact (sorry David), DSC elevates “Fashion” to a super danceable beat-driven track that we prefer (this rarely occurs). “Fashion” leads the pack as one of the best cover tracks of 2015 (thus far) and certainly takes the cake as one of the most solid twists on a classic Bowie track. Stay tuned as we await more incredible music from a new favorite artist-find DSC; who are currently working on their new EP (slated to release this Autumn) as well as a debut full-length album (out sometime in 2016).
