Fall into the deeply unique whispery-soulful sense-drenched vocals, stunning quiet-array of relentless beats and beautiful dank-centered under layers of new track “Arum”, the latest bass-led CYGN-tinged jam from French beatmaker-producer duo Workers (off their new recently released beats-trap infused “Pollen” EP). Vindata – Wide Awake (Feat. Kenzie May)

vindata

We like the positively electric vocals of London songstress Kenzie May on “Wide Awake” the new Vindata track which artfully celebrates a particularly bright and bouncy atmospheric and warmly tantalizing chime-toned background melody. B3 recently covered the LA electro duo for their breathtaking Mack-sampling Bjork-style-vocal-ed gem “Getting Away”. Both tracks are a lead in to Vindata’s forthcoming “Through Time And Space” EP, which is out via OWSLA on August 14th. We look forward to it. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Classixx – w1w-16tp

classixx

Get into the far-out stratospheric beat-centered calm and overtly-catchy mellow-vibed simplicity of “wiw-16tp” a vibrant new soundscape from LA-based veteran electro DJ/production duo Classixx (a.k.a. Tyler Blake and Michael David) who have not released much since their debut “Hanging Gardens” EP which was out a couple of years ago. We covered the duo in 2009 and still dig their signature spacey ambient-based quiet-side sound and are pleased to see Classixx (presumably Tyler Blake) headlining a DJ set at Denver’s Cloak & Dagger music festival on September 19th along with Four Tet and Lido. If you are into a spaced-out techno-lounge dynamic be sure give a listen to “A. Ohana” the beautifully robust bass-laden recent-release a-side track from Michael David’s new solo act called Studio Paradiso (which is out via new label Distant Works on August 24th). Hayden James – Something About You (ODESZA Remix)

haydenjamesodesza

We like the straightforward sweet-sentimentality and sunny-dreamy vivid-emotive soul-inspired undercurrent of “Something About You” the hit dance-centric jam from artist/vocalist Hayden James; a track which recently received a beautifully creative jolt from B3-featured artist ODESZA. On their new sparkling synth-led muted-reverb-y atmospheric remix of the track the true-to-style dynamic duo ODESZA captivate us again with their graciously-expansive vocal spin, brightly-textured natural-leaning percussion, and cohesive angelic-tribal-vibe vocal accents. Lovely remix. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Go wild with B3’s LA-fave vōx on her new sweetly stunning sugar-layered strings-enhanced vocal-stunner “Claws” which emanates a distinct sense of beauty with its tantalizing melody; mute-silent, foggy-edged, synth accents; and decadent, soothing-vibe, Japanese-aesthetic whispers of harp.
