Workers – Source (Feat. Samifati)

workers2

From its mellow combination of dramatic bright-sentiment string instrumentals and robust-dynamic golden-touch synth accents to its muted mesh of soulfully varied quiet-side beats, we dig all angles of new SoulEtiquette Ingenious Pleasure Vol. 2. track “Source” from B3 recent-feature French duo Workers and French violin-centered electronic musician duo Samifati. TEK.LUN – Da Wormhole

teklun_001

B3 last featured HW&W rep’d artist Baltimore producer/beatmaker Rashad Tek Williams (a.k.a. TEK.LUN) for his beautifully choppy jazz-sample-laced beats-driven house jam called “Sometimes”. We’re into his latest festively-adorned acid-jazz-accented percusion-layered whimsical-Arabian-vibe synth-filled party jam named “Da Wormhole”. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Tasty Treat – Found Someone (Feat. Tribes)

tastytreat

Quite possibly my favorite track of this week is the stunning “Found Someone” from Tasty Treat featuring Tribes. The bit from the start to about 1:30 that’s this crazy melange of jazzy pianos, very subtly trap-tinged beats and Tribes’ heart-shredding vocal is so so good. On repeat 24/7.

Four Lore – Kafka

fourlore

Zone out to the calm gracefully-poised synth-affected percussion-textured vibrations and choppy-delicate lovely-melodic sample-less male-female vocal melange on “Kafka” a new beauty track from Canadian producer/vocalist and self-professed beat-crusher Four Lore (which features the lovely vocals of talented young songstress Madi Larson). Moon Boots – Red Sky

moonboots2

Favorite Moon Boots drops off a warm-touch house-y new one called “Red Sky”. The minor-keyed dance number traverses a more obtuse broader region of the Moon Boots sound that inhabits somewhere near the orbit of artists like Darius and Cherokee. We like it. “Red Sky” is out now on Anjunadeep.

London producer fwdslxsh woos us with a slow and sensual voluptuously-synthed-out picturesque-nature-inspired symmetry on his cooly dynamic quiet-moody delight called “Enough” which we are especially vibing with for its sublime-wallowy vocals and sweet tranquil-side guitar accents from Kiran Kai. phoenix4

Bankrupt album track nine “Bourgeois” from Versailles-based veteran indie rock/synth pop band Phoenix (who we featured a number of times on B3 via remix) gets a stupendously-simple smooth and dreamy sublime-vibe funk-guitar-drenched instrumental makeover from French producer-musician Uppermost (a.k.a. Basenji – Air

basenji2

In June we featured Talented young producer Sydney-based Australian, Basenji, for his outrageously lovely percolating-beats-led stunner track “Petals” which is the first single off his August-released Future Classic-rep’d debut “Trackpad” EP. We also profoundly appreciate the new EP’s classical-instrumentals-brightened closing dazzler “Air” which we think excels (above and beyond) for its deeply-wound intrinsically-melodic glistening-chimed sparky-beat-bombarded heart-stirring-vocals-tinged atmospheric style that has divine-talent Basenji penciled in on our mental list of artists to watch in 2016. We are enthralled by your unique sound Basenji! Reviewed by Erin Shay.
