CHLLNGR – Sundown (Feat. Coco O. of Quadron)

chllngr

Danish production dude and apparent abhorrer of vwls picks up fellow countrywoman and Queen of Danish R&B Quadron’s Coco O. for new track “Sundown”. The song’s bouncy grind and its eerie “You’re Runnin’ Out of Time” refrain actually counterpoint each other quite well. “Sundown” is a sharply executed piece of vocal electronic music. Get that Danish R&B.

Britney Spears – Dangerous

britney

Some unreleased Brit for your ears. The vaguely surf rock-y “Dangerous” walks a line somewhere between “Toxic”, “Livin’ La Vida Loca”, and maybe…. “Walking on the Sun” (Smash Mouth y’all!). Give our girl a spin below. (HCM)

Hot As Sun – Come Come (Feat. Freddie Gibbs) (The Kickdrums Remix)

hotassun

The Kickdrums remix of “Come Come” by LA band Hot As Sun is about as sick as gets. Ominous “Ready or Not Here I Come” horns and strings frame a dope as hell 808 and an excellent gloomy female voiced hook. Yeah, all that and a verse from Gangsta Gibbs! (WHAT?) Where’d that come from? Don’t ask questions, hit the track.

Lana Del Rey – Video Games (Jamie Woon Refix)

lana

Wow, so much cool shit going on in this remix (What else would you expect from J. Woon?). Garage, 90’s hip hop, 00’s hip hop, EDM, all those references and more are there. Jamie had a great track to work with but wow (again). We would LOVE to hear more Jamie Woon remixes! Keep’em comin’ Jamie!

“Don’t Move” is the first release off Phantogram’s upcoming Nightlife LP. “Don’t Move” bangs. Sarah’s voice neatly pulses in and out of a killer horn-sample assisted set of rhythms. Track’s got bounce.

Soular Order – Find Your Way

soularorder

Soular Order is Manchester UK producer Jon Maynard. On his “A World Apart” EP, from which “Find Your Way” is excerpted, Maynard (whose roots are in dubstep and bass music) attempts to move away from the boundaries, barriers, and technical rigors of that music and into something more organic, something more visceral, more engaging. Give “Find Your Way” a spin below.
