“Blue Jeans” (one of the best songs of the year) continues to inspire incredible remixes. DC producer Mover Shaker’s mix is not an exception. Slightly frantic, a little eerie, but 100% heater beat, Mover Shaker has a definite hit on his hands.

Belgian artist The Magician turns in an ace remix of Tyson’s blogworld hit “After You’re Gone”. There’s enough classic disco, electro & nu disco laced into the track to have face tat Mike Tyson, the Tyson chicken guy, and, of course, our girl Cicely Tyson mean mugging on the dancefloors of only the largest of rooms.

Grandpa Was a Lion is Connecticut artist Justin D’Onofrio. If you’re into Bon Iver or David Bazan or Elliott Smith or just great songwriting you’ll want to give GWAL’s Seven Songs a spin on Bandcamp.

Our bro Chris Isaak needs to do some sort of official remix LP. Dude is leaving some serious money on the table not releasing one. 2011 is the year of the Chris Isaak remix.

“Brightside” is NYC’s The Knocks first proper single release for A&M records. It’s an uptempo feel good dance track that’s got enough soul built in its guts to make for great repeat listening. Heavy roc.

It’s new Flux! The dude FP does his spin on Example’s latest. A little less “filth” and a bit more “bounce” in this mix. Could this be foreshadowing a new stylistic turn for Mr. Pavilion? (DoML)

“Free to Flee” is new from French group OHO. The excellent track navigates a lane between classic French pop/electro (think Air) and more modern beat-driven music (Ratatat, Bonobo, etc) and is framed by a great Nouvelle Vague-esque female vocal. Result.

Kiwi producer Dan Aux does an excellent, brooding, kinetic spin on Gotye’s song of the year candidate “Somebody That I Used To Know”. We love it!
