The Cataracts – All You (Feat. Waka Flocka Flame & Kaskade)

thecataracts

“All You”, new from L.A.’s, The Cataracts is about to set pop radio on fire. “All You” ticks all the 2012 radio smash boxes and then some (big EDMish chorus, spazed out rapper verse, a cool sample of a recent hit – in this case the also Cataracts-produced “In the Dark” by Dev.) Seriously though, ever thought you’d hear (give Waka a beat, 10 G’s, and a ton of weed and he’ll probably rap over anything) Waka Flocka spit flames on a Kaskade sample? In theory, Waka’s inclusion on a track like this might invite notions of “train wreck” “are you shitting me?” and “ugh” but somehow it totally works! We love it, get with the new jam. (SB)

Rebecca Ferguson – Glitter & Gold (Cahill Remix)

rebeccaferguson

UK R&B songstress and X-Factor alum Rebecca Ferguson gets a sharp throwback 90’s dance-esque push via a new remix from producer Cahill. Cahill’s mix has all the big beats and bombast (and huge vocals!) that classics in this genre are defined by. 100% pure love.

Bastille – One Night Love Affair

bastille

L.A. dance duo Bastille are back at you with a sweet new jam “One Night Love Affair”. On the track, the guys sample the great rare disco track “Caught Up” by Inner Life (which you should also check on if you’re up on some eassssy listening). “ONLA” is a king size foot tapper that demands your immediate attention. Get on with your bad self.

Martin Solveig – The Night Out (TheFatRat Remix)

solveig2

So that Martin Solveig remix EP rips pretty hard. In addition to this TheFatRat 5-alive re-spin of “The Night Out”, are (as you’ve prob heard by now) remixes from Madeon, A-Trak, & a co-mix from Solveig & A-Trak. TheFatRat takes it there on the electro-house tip resoundedly stamping down another choice cut in his burgeoning remix canon.

JONES – Don’t Walk Out

jonesmusic

“Don’t Walk Out” is the sort of dark, baritone driven electro pop that one might come to expect from an ex-champion boxer turned musician. There’s little else to be known about the UK artist JONES. Check out his debut EP Cometh the Hour at his website here.

POSTTOD – Away

By Trevor Meyer

posttod1

Swedish electronic/alt rockers, Posttod, have just shared their free EP, “Moon.” This music really puts you in a remote place, a pastoral, utopian retreat, if you will. Ambient, yet incredibly lively, “Moon” caters to the ever changing moods of our personalities. “Away” is my favorite thus far, but “Through Your Eyes” offers a solid hip-hop/electronic combination overlapped by an ethereal synth line. Give these guys a spin.

Bwana – Can’t You Just

bwana

We featured Leeds UK via Toronto producer Bwana and his stunning mix for Arthur Beatrice just a few days ago. We’ve still got that on some serious rotation. Today, Mad Decent dropped Bwana’s latest the Erykah Badu-sampling “Can’t You Just”. Yes! Featuring a sharp kinetic glide and some really nicely layered synth flourishes, “Can’t You Just” is another winner from the Canadian. Ride out to this one.

Adam Smith – Islands

cover

Adam Smith, a 21-year old UK-based producer, releases his debut full length Islands. The entire 8-track release is great (we’ve had it on rotation at b3sci HQ much of the day) but our pick from the mix is the beautifully kinetic, neatly atmosphered title track. Listen.

Marina & The Diamonds – Primadonna (Burns Remix)

marina-press-shot-bw

Yeah like we could resist this one. UK producer Burns knocks this new “Primadonna” out the park and then some. Burns dials up some space/garage type tones in the mix but buoys it nicely with some good punch. You will like it. We promise.
