Duologue – Push It

duologue

The stunning “Push It” is new from UK dance act Duologue. “Push It” is the sound of a band in transition. Formerly of a more electronic extraction, Duologue are pushing their sound forward into a more guitar-driven melodic territory. The dance references are still there, they’re evident in the percussive nature of the vocal melodies and guitar layering but the band is really moving into some extraordinary sort of material. “Push It” is beautiful, epic but also interesting and fresh. We cannot wait for more.

The Deadsets – The Death of Suzie Jane

thedeadsets

If you love anthemic dramatic UK guitar rock as the crew here at b3sci does. You will looove The Deadsets. Think Oasis, Kasabian, etc and you’re in entering the right ballpark (which is where these guys seem destined to playing someday (in 1995)). Take that and lace it with some slick sounding Morricone western type shit, and that’s sort of the point from which The Deadsets start from. Grab your Supernova guitar or at least your Supernova air guitar, your Orange amplifier, turn all that up 100x and get involved by hitting play below.

Patrick Wolf – Time Of My Life (NO CEREMONY/// REMIX)

noceremony

The dark! mysterious! cryptic! (ooooh spooky!) NO CEREMONY/// just turned in this glitch-y, garage-y mix of Patrick Wolf’s “Time of My Life”. Definitely feeling the track after first couple spins. And now spin three…

Chip Tha Ripper – The Truth

chip-tha-ripper

Cleveland is our city. Seriously, bloggers, can we do with a better starting phrase for Chip than “Cleveland’s own” which seems to start 80% of the posts about him. The only dude that should ever follow the phrase “Cleveland’s own” in a sentence is, no doubt, beloved toupee, Ted Henry, Cleveland’s own Ted Henry. Tell Ya Friends is due soon.

Tom Waits – Back in the Crowd

tomwaits

Old man Waits has a new LP (Bad Like Me) due soon (October 24) which should have you super psyched. Anytime this legend takes a break from being one of the coolest people on the planet just long enough to get in a studio and cut a record, you need to be listening. “Back in the Crowd”, the album’s second single is a slightly island-y Spanish guitar-backed love song. The gritty, gravely, gruff Waits can write some seriously dark shit, but the usually candid Tom can also pen the sweetest songs of devotion. With Waits it’s always been about emotive honesty and connectivity, his ability to precisely point into the whole vast continuum of emotive quality is what really elevates (and keeps) him into the sphere of the best songwriters.

Florence + The Machine – Shake It Out (The Weeknd Remix)

florenceshakeitout

Zane Lowe just dropped the premiere of The Weeknd’s remix of Florence’s latest single “Shake It Out” and now you can stream it live on b3sci. It’s moody, it’s ethereal, it almost sounds of a space age spaghetti western. It’s The Weeknd, it’s Florence, it’s b3sci.

Lana Del Rey – Video Games (White Lies Remix)

lanadelrey2

White Lies take every blogger’s fav pair of lips to The Factory circa 1981. The mix doesn’t really sound like Lana nor does it really sound like White Lies either, layer upon layer of analogue synths and drum loops. The result is a sharp sounding remix that would have even pissed Pete Hook cutting a serious rug.
