Scavenger Hunt – Sweet Talk

Scavenger Hunt is the L.A. based duo of singer/songwriter Jill Lamoureux and producer/multi-instrumentalist Dan Mufson. New single “Sweet Talk”, the follow-up to “River Runs Dry”, is oh so infectious (like have in had in my head non-stop for four days infectious, ahhhh). Built on neo-80’s production ideas and boosted up by some Robyn-esque melodics, “Sweet Talk” is a great intersection between superlative track writing, great styling and a superb main vocal. LOVE IT.

Baron & Byrne – Victoria

We dig the melodic swerves, cool production choices, and overall atmosphere/feel of “Victoria”, the new track from UK songwriter Baron & Byrne. Vaguely psychedelic with its buzzing organ and unexpected chord intervals, “Victoria” finds a magnetic quality in the blend between its alternately surreal and familiar traditional pop writing elements. Get familiar with Baron & Byrne below.

A Festival, A Parade – If Dogs Could Talk

Newcastle UK newcomers A Festival, A Parade stream strong new track “If Dogs Could Talk”. Darkly melodic and refreshingly out of step stylistically with the general mode of operation of much of UK rock right now, the brooding A Festival bunch are, we think, on to something special. Listen to “If Dogs Could Talk” below and see them live on the following dates.

30 Sept – Think Tank?, Newcastle w/ The Pale White & Plaza

13 Oct – Think Tank?, Newcastle w/ Tall Ships

08 Oct – Twisterella Festival, Middlesbrough

Leon Power – Open Up

“Blind” is the new upcoming EP from Edinburgh-raised artist Leon Power. An alum of Method Records and a collaborator of Nicolas Jaar, Mr. Power on “Open Up” sets a measured rhythmic pace to dreamy soundscape fit with circadian bass and shimmery falsetto hooks. In sum, we’re into it. The “Blind” EP is forthcoming on Majestic Casual’s new label.

Premiere: George Cosby – All of Your Love

B3 is very pleased to premiere “All Of Your Love” the new single from favorite UK songwriter George Cosby. Cosby, a nominee for 2016’s Blog Sound poll and a selection of Radio 1’s Best of Introducing, has through breakout tracks “Vacant Grace” “Ritual Blush” & “State of Undress” tallied over 1M streams on Spotify. The talented Londoner excels on new one “All of Your Love” which succeeds through a pair of Cosby’s big strengths A+ writing and potent/impassioned vocals. “All of Your Love” (which is available now to stream below) is a component part of George Cosby’s forthcoming “A Savage Kiss” EP, out October 14th on Yucatan Records.

WEIRDO – Attitude

The Annie Mac-backed WEIRDO (“Butler”, “Armanio”) return with propulsive Foals-esque new single “Attitude”. Following up Hypem No. 1 “Armanio”, “Attitude” is decidedly forceful, galvanized in its main chorus hook by beefed-up disto guitars spurred on by an ascending chord progression. Listen to “Attitude” below.

Donna Missal – Slide

We’re loving the hot-off-the-press new one “Slide” from NJ singer Donna Missal. The operator of an impactful alto, Missal’s choices in cadence and melody do especially well in complementing the horn-driven pop track’s instrumental. A+

The Rhythm Method – Home Sweet Home

UK duo The Rhythm Method channel 90’s piano-driven club music (“You’re Unbelievable!” Haha, no not really, but we are nodding our heads to the vibe) and an aesthetic that recalls a bit on Mike Skinner for a paean to post-Fabric London on “Home Sweet Home”.

WALLACE – Raffled Roses

Effervescent soul beamed straight into your ears from Sydney, Australia, the vaguely Caribbean-influenced “Raffled Roses” is the newest gem from New Zealand-born WALLACE who we loved last back in December on “Negroni Eyes”.
