[B3SCI Records] Babeheaven – Moving On / Ode to Dom

Out today as part of a limited run CD on our B3SCI Records is “Moving On / Ode to Dom”, the new release from UK act Babeheaven. The CD which also features previous Babeheaven tracks “Heaven” and “Friday Sky” comes packaged with a Babeheaven iron-on patch. “Moving On / Ode to Dom” is also available digitally at your favorite online retailer . Lauded by Vice, DIY, Nylon, Clash and a host of other publications, the band are in the midst of their first headline tour in the UK (playing Manchester as part of the Neighbourhood Festival on 10/8, Birmingham’s Sunflower Lounge on 10/9, Brighton’s The Prince Albert on 10/10 and London’s Bush Hall on 10/11.)

Jack River – Palo Alto

“Palo Alto” is new from Australian songwriter Holly Rankin a/k/a Jack River. Wound around a Nirvana-esque groove (“About a Girl”), “Palo Alto” blends elements of West Coast US indie with that aforementioned grunge feel. The result is differentially cool blend of styles made great by Rankin’s strong sense of melody. Listen below.

[B3SCI Records] Elohim – Hallucinating

Out now on B3SCI is “Hallucinating” the fresh new single from L.A.-based singer Elohim. Following up on previous B3 releases “She Talks Too Much / Xanax”, “The Bridge and the Wall / Pigments” and her self-titled debut EP, “Hallucinating” is a further exercise in genre dexterity and nimbleness for Elohim. El’s on tour now with Irish artist EDEN (remaining dates below) and will be headed out with lords of Chi-city Louis The Child in November (see below). As an added lagniappe Elohim’s prepared a cool Mariachi band remix of “Hallucinating” which is available for your streaming pleasure below along with the original track. “Hallucinating” is available now.

HARLΠРAll In My Feelings

We’re digging the cool blend of A+ pop songwriting and spare forward-thinking production from newcomer HARLŒ on “All In My Feelings”. The L.A.-based HARLŒ (whose writing credits include work with Charli XCX and Britney Spears, is on to a refreshing sound (buoyed by airtight melodic writing) that is unlike pretty much anything else out right now.

“I Would” is the second track online for Gueorgui Linev’s KAN WAKAN project. “I Would”, which follows the blogger favorite “Molasses”, is as an arresting statement of formidable artistic skill. Wow.

Foreign Air – Better For It

Foreign Air will tour North America this fall (dates below) behind their new (out now) “Free the Light” EP. Ruddering the new release from the duo of Jacob Michael and Jesse Clasen is perhaps out favorite track to date from the twosome, the piano-driven but Kanye-influenced in its instrumentation “Better For It”. Built on some frankly heart-wrenching melodic writing (nearly every time the verse heads into falsetto is pretty much soul crushing), “Better For It” deserves/will grab on to your attention immediately.
