Black Butter Records Man in Switzerland Pablo Nouvelle announces new single “Take Me To A Place” with stream of B-side “Sunday”. Washed in warm electronics and an alto female vocal, the rhythm-led “Sunday” is deeply affecting and soulful within its relatively minimalist exterior.

New band Moonboy, Inc., out of Berlin DE, surf a vaguely Balearic vibe-wave on piano-driven big beat track “Forever”. The house-y piano pulse of “Forever” is its engine about which repeated chants and syncopated melodic lines whirl about the track in a warm weather conflagration of dance hedonism. We’re into it.

Chess Club band Sundara Karma premiered a new single on Huw Stephens’ Radio 1 show last night entitled “Flame”. “Flame” finds Sundara Karma aiming a bit more for accessibility as the tunefulness is more refined here and the arrangement steadier. “Flame” is not lacking for crossover and anthemic quality and with the band slated for a number of big festival dates this summer; the band’s arrow appears to be decidedly pointed up.

Greco-Roman artist Roosevelt reveals second stream from new AA-side single. “Hold On”, which follows the great “Night Moves” on the single, is a summery dance-ready track with just the right smattering of nu-disco tones to keep things moving. “Night Moves/Hold On”, the first release from Roosevelt in two years, is out on July 10.

Another of the collaborations between UK artist Raleigh Ritchie and Kendrick Lamar/TDE producer Sounwave has surfaced in the shape of “Never Say Die”. On the track, R.R. opines woefully over the geographic distribution of his recent heartbreaks (Paris, L.A., Brighton are not spared) to the complement of Sounwave’s wavy West Coast production. Thursday night at Lure in Hollywood, Pandora and Lexus threw together quite an incredible showcase. With an onlooking row of cars, selfie sticks for photo and hashtag, and indie electronica wiz Robert Delong playing his latest, it was a gig to remember.
Glassnote-backed, and originally from Seattle, Robert Delong played a multitude of songs from his upcoming release In The Cards (9/18) and the 2013 release Just Movement. Per his oeuvre, the Delong’s gadgets were in full force (Wii remote and other awesome things) as R.D. blasted through singles like “Just Movement”, “Long Way Down” and “Happy”. UK indie vets Everything Everything latest single “Regret” is the recipient of a wildly dynamic and vast palette remix by Belgian in Manchester Oceaán. The juxtaposition of textures used by Oceaán is on another level; clanky minimal drums, whirling looped-up vocals, synths careening in every which way. Listen.
