Roland Tings – Hedonist

rolandtings

We’re caught up on the robustly-sparkling creatively-possesed temperatures of genre-less house-leaning Melbourne producer Roland Tings who is currently working on his upcoming 2016-release EP that is out via new label Soothsayer. We love his latest synth-illuminated enchanting-atmospheric percussion-tempered dynamic-mood-consumed metallic-percussion-imbued nature-inspired tropical-vibe-y space-disco house-based dance epic called “Headonist”, which at over eight minutes long has a long-lasting slightly-hypnotic beautifully-calmative ecstatic-vibe effect that we totally dig. Workers – Nowhere in France

workers_001

In early August B3 showcased the deeply unique whispery-soulful sense-drenched vocals, stunning quiet-array of relentless beats and beautiful dank-centered under layers of new bass-led CYGN-assisted jam “Arum” from French beatmaker-producer duo Workers. Give a listen to their bass-heavy trap-percussion-bewitched new one “Nowhere in France”, a short and sweet shimmery-synth uplifter which we especially like for its mild-mayhem funked-out background keyboard melody. The brightly-dimensional on-point beats-drenched “Nowhere in France” is the first track off Workers‘ latest two track “Two Jobs” EP. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Feki – Quiet Minds (Feat. Emily)

feki

Zone out to the beautiful transcendental far-out trance-y-lulling dampened-beat-tempered soft-piano-led melodic-vocaled atmospheres of Brisbane, AU beatmaker-producer Feki on his gorgeous luminously-effervescent new single “Quiet Minds” which features the amazing-promising vocals of a mysterious and talented songstress called Emily. According to Feki the song is inspired by the idea that “silence is beautiful thing, but it is often intentionally blocked from our lives because we choose to avoid reality. Sometimes in order to find the truth, we need not run from the quiet, but rather embrace it”. Despite this advice, the dynamically inspiring, lovely and alluring new gem “Quiet Minds’ is decidedly on repeat. The track is out October 16th via iTunes. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

GRRL PAL – Suggest

grrlpal2

We last featured the awesome dynamically-textured synth line, on-point deep-bass accents and contrastingly-delicate melodic vocals of Perth-based B3-featured male-female duo GRRL PAL on their mellow-vibe trap-infused jam “Vice” which is the ninth track in the pair’s one-song-a-month-for-a-year series. We’re totally vibing the poppy sentiments of “Suggest” the duo’s synth-fed eleventh series single which excels exponentially for its finely wrought melange of sultry-sensual brightly-muted beat-tempered background-vocals-tinged ambience and exquisitely-feminine celestial-otherworldly catchy-harmonic quiet-vibe vocals. Benny Sings – You And Me (Feat. GoldLink)

bennysings

Dutch veteran producer and singer Benny Sings (who had a memorable standout album in 2011 called ART) makes a slick serendipitous comeback after a long absence from the limelight with his new rhythmic-melodic hip-hop-inspired r&b-lustered smash hit single “You and Me” from his upcoming new Step Kids-mixed album called STUDIO that is out on November 27th via German label Jakarta Records and Dox Records in the Netherlands. New track “You and Me” (which we like for its stylish mesh of subtle-sensuous mellow-sublime beats, slick out-of-this-world vocals and cheery-guitar-groove-fed instrumentals) features the versatile vocal style and current-trend-bent flow of Soulection-artist VA-based emcee/vocalist Goldlink (who we recently covered for his Missy-sampling And After That, We Didn’t Talk LP knockout single “Spectrum”). We love the incredibly charming cohesive mesh of vocals on “You and Me” and look forward to hearing the lot of STUDIO which apparently only features one other track with a guest vocalist. We think Benny Sings made a wise choice to include Goldlink! Amazing collaboration. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

IYES – Beautiful Mess

iyes2

Brighton-bred Berlin-based male-female duo IYES (Josh Christopher and Melis Soyaslanová) recently resurfaced with their sweetly-emotive effervescent-toned catchy-melodic chorus-laden r&b-inspired synth-pop beauty “Gone” (B3-featured) which is the second single off the pair’s highly anticipated sophomore EP “Part Two” (that released on October 12th via IYES’s own label Love By Mistake). We love the newly released EP’s lyrically-vibrant vocally-exuberant whimsical-synth-tickled sing-along track “Beautiful Mess” for its ear-captivating harmonic vocal sensibilities and wonderfully emotive quintessential-IYES catchy hook. Krs. – Ever Blessed

krs_001

We last showcased Toronto producer, Noir Sound founder, and talented bootleg-rework style-setter Krs. for his heated and seductive deep-surface tropical-flamboyant shadowy-vibe artfully-beat-driven Demarco-inspired subtle-stinger bootleg, “Gyal Thing”. We are completely smitten with his latest “Ever Blessed” a beat-heavy steamy-sensual dance-grind-driven fun-wonder bootleg of Jamaican dancehall reggae artist Vybz Kartel. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Felix Snow – Now You See Me

felixsnow2

We just featured Kiiara and Gallant producer turned rising-star soloist Felix Snow for his dynamite-dreamy mild-future synth-y trap-beat-enhanced incandescent-atmospheric Madi Walsh-vocaled pop jam “Slow”. We really like his new beautifully textured uplifting-synth trap-beat centered track “Now You See Me” which features the radio-ready bright-talent vocals of Detroit-bred Chicago-based songstress CYN; who we last discussed in April for her stellar vocals on “Something” her swoony lo-fi beats-inspired track that was recorded on an iphone microphone. We’re thrilled with this excellent collaboration between two extremely promising artists! Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Ptaki – Termy

ptaki

The Balearic sounds of “Termy” is the latest track from Polish duo Ptaki. The song’s hushed female backing vocals, vaguely jazz-y acoustic guitar arpeggiations and a vibes back rhythm track are supremely executed here. It’s a surrealistic bit of transportative hypnosis that can just as easily translate to your office chair as it would on an Ibiza beachside.

ACES – I’m Already Gone

acesimalreadygone

Ahhh, we love this one. “I’m Already Gone” is new from Brooklyn-based act ACES. Dipped in rhodes and finished with a cool alto that we adore, “I’m Already Gone” traffics in the recent/current R&B Sound of 2015 but adds a refreshing set of melodic turns and a star-level vocal that give the track added repeat-ability. Listen to “I’m Already Gone” below.
