Dan Croll, a B3-favorite UK-artist who first caught our attentions in 2012 with his stellar songwriting and lively blend of timely nicely-varied folk-y indie pop, has remained on the down-low since the release of his debut full album Sweet Disarray; which includes the warm fun-loving classic quirky-silly folk-vocals-led track “Home” (featured here on B3 in 2013). We are thrilled with Croll’s latest out-of-the-blue new release “One of Us” a sunny-sensed catchy-hooked pop track which excels for its well-written strong-minded straightforward edgy-catchy lyrics and beautifully-expressive spaced-out guitar-riff-led muted-punk style sensibilities. An excellent surprise from a solid talent! Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Bankrupt album track nine “Bourgeois” from Versailles-based veteran indie rock/synth pop band Phoenix (who we featured a number of times on B3 via remix) gets a stupendously-simple smooth and dreamy sublime-vibe funk-guitar-drenched instrumental makeover from French producer-musician Uppermost (a.k.a. Behdad Nejat). Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Lose yourself in the brilliantly-creative inexhaustibly-sprawling funk-centric synth-infused expanses of new track “Parisian Chance” a multi-dimensional bass-laden metallic-percussion-accented cosmic-cosmopolitan tech house gem by B3-newcomer versatile house producer Zifra who is also known as Electrobank. Awesome track. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

We’re beyond psyched on the brightly-animated soothing-sensed synthed-out lustrous-toned playful-vibe beats-led eclectic beauty track called “Water” from Milwaukee-based producer and Flamingosis pal-collaborator Ian Ewing off his brief joint creation EP Tons of Friends Vol. 1 which is out via nohlifesyle. Logic’s album, The Incredible True Story, was announced to drop next month following the release of “Young Jesus” featuring Big Lenbo. The second single off the album (excerpted here) “Like Woah” is a 6ix produced track reminiscent of Logic’s hard beginings and lyrically a tribute to his current lifestyle. Reviewed by Jake Goldstein

In June we featured Talented young producer Sydney-based Australian, Basenji, for his outrageously lovely percolating-beats-led stunner track “Petals” which is the first single off his August-released Future Classic-rep’d debut “Trackpad” EP. We also profoundly appreciate the new EP’s classical-instrumentals-brightened closing dazzler “Air” which we think excels (above and beyond) for its deeply-wound intrinsically-melodic glistening-chimed sparky-beat-bombarded heart-stirring-vocals-tinged atmospheric style that has divine-talent Basenji penciled in on our mental list of artists to watch in 2016. We are enthralled by your unique sound Basenji! Reviewed by Erin Shay.

The dream is real! A Justice League of West Coast underground rap MED, BLU and MADLIB connect on the A+ “Finer Things”. Featuring the ultramelodic vocal stylings of Phonte (the Little Brother/Foreign Exchange rapper to home Drake owes a good chunk of his rap palette), “Finer Things” picks excellently right up in the heyday of this crew of artists. WE NEED MORE. Look for Bad Neighbor on October 30th.
We’re caught up on the robustly-sparkling creatively-possesed temperatures of genre-less house-leaning Melbourne producer Roland Tings who is currently working on his upcoming 2016-release EP that is out via new label Soothsayer. We love his latest synth-illuminated enchanting-atmospheric percussion-tempered dynamic-mood-consumed metallic-percussion-imbued nature-inspired tropical-vibe-y space-disco house-based dance epic called “Headonist”, which at over eight minutes long has a long-lasting slightly-hypnotic beautifully-calmative ecstatic-vibe effect that we totally dig. In early August B3 showcased the deeply unique whispery-soulful sense-drenched vocals, stunning quiet-array of relentless beats and beautiful dank-centered under layers of new bass-led CYGN-assisted jam “Arum” from French beatmaker-producer duo Workers. Give a listen to their bass-heavy trap-percussion-bewitched new one “Nowhere in France”, a short and sweet shimmery-synth uplifter which we especially like for its mild-mayhem funked-out background keyboard melody. The brightly-dimensional on-point beats-drenched “Nowhere in France” is the first track off Workers‘ latest two track “Two Jobs” EP. Reviewed by Erin Shay.

Zone out to the beautiful transcendental far-out trance-y-lulling dampened-beat-tempered soft-piano-led melodic-vocaled atmospheres of Brisbane, AU beatmaker-producer Feki on his gorgeous luminously-effervescent new single “Quiet Minds” which features the amazing-promising vocals of a mysterious and talented songstress called Emily. According to Feki the song is inspired by the idea that “silence is beautiful thing, but it is often intentionally blocked from our lives because we choose to avoid reality. Sometimes in order to find the truth, we need not run from the quiet, but rather embrace it”. Despite this advice, the dynamically inspiring, lovely and alluring new gem “Quiet Minds’ is decidedly on repeat. The track is out October 16th via iTunes. Reviewed by Erin Shay.
