ODESZA – Say My Name (SteLouse Remix)

odesza

“Say My Name” is another runaway hit for the very consistent ODESZA. One of our favorite producers anywhere right now SteLouse takes in a brand new remix a broad-palette swing at “Say My Name”. Mixing trap-y rhythmic structures with crossover instrumentation and elements of hip hop sprinkled throughout, the resulting mix is another standout for SteLouse.

Premiere: Foreign/National – EP

foreignnationalep

We loved Melbourne AU band Foreign/National‘s track “Paris” back in December. Today, the Aussie band is back with that excellent track’s equally great accompanying EP. Five tracks deep and constructed of a similar stylistically diverse mesh of Metronomy meets Mystery Jets indie, the EP also includes blog hits “Life Tourist” and “All Honesty” as well two previously unreleased tracks. Stream the B3 Premiere of Foreign/National’s debut EP below.

Zella Day – Compass (Louis The Child Remix)

zella

Zella Day gets a Flume-esque helping hand via Windy City producers Louis The Child on new remix. LTC select for staccato electronics and a boosted-up rhythm track which do well to complement in addition to flipping the dynamic on the original track’s ballad-y vocal.

Sylas – Hollow

sylas

Aesop (the label of TĀLĀ & SOHN) introduce UK outer space soul duo Sylas. Almost mechanized in sound and languid like in the style of James Blake, “Hollow” takes forward the Blake-palette into furthest way out spaces wresting emotion of the most disparate varied and powerful varieties. You’ll want to not miss this one.

HONNE – Baby Please

honne

UK band HONNE, authors of one of 2014’s best tracks “Warm On a Cold Night”, are back today with new one “Baby Please”. The soulful number “Baby Please” is another stunning (a word music blogs use a lot but warranted here) example of HONNE’s great and sophisticated R&B-influenced (but not alt-R&B) songwriting and again marks the band as one to keep on the radar screen into 2015. HONNE’s debut EP is out September 22nd on Super Recordings.
