It’s about to get freaky! Alizzz’s new mix on Ali Jamieson’s “Four Thirty” is somehow on both the b3 “crunchy” and “lush” levels that it makes us all want to do the praying mantis dance. Bend yr elbows like a praying mantis.

Ooh, you fancy huh? French squad The Popopopops (yeah I just counted very carefully there too.) give a sparkly Francophonic new finish on the Manceau pop track.

If you’re anything like us at B3SCI, then at least some of your time every day is spent wondering when the next great guitar band from Britain is going to come along and make you fall in love with rock all over again. On that note, we’d like to introduce you to a band that we’ve had in heavy rotation today. The Dirty Rivers formed in Liverpool in 2011 and will be offering their debut single Black Heart/Filth via the Deltasonic singles club in February. Their darker and bluesy guitars remind us of The Verve and Kasabian in a way that pays homage to decades of their predecessors influences. Treat yourself below and keep these young dudes on your radar.

Folk-pop singer songwriter Aly Tadros must have gained some serious frequent flier miles the past few years, traveling between Mexico, Turkey, Egypt and Europe. With all those experiences, Aly had a plethora of inspiration to write her upcoming sophomore album The Fits due out on Jan. 15th. The first single “Sweet On Me”, available for download now, showcases Tadros bearing her soul over a well arranged rhythm section. One can’t help but notice her voice flourishing over the lightly plucked arpeggio chords. The Brooklyn based artist will soon be on a small West Coast tour in support of the new album.

Indie dance-rock outfit We Were Lovers recently premiered the video for their new single “Islands”, off their Pyramids LP coming this April. This is their first official music video, but you wouldn’t know it. Playful, sexy, and badass. That is how I would describe this video. Also, the landscape shots are as epic as the vocal and beat that accompany them. We Were Lovers are the duo of Ash Lamothe & Elsa Gebremichael from Saskatoon, Canada. By Jon Herriot
